What We Fund

The PTA provides the green homework folders every student receives at the beginning of the school year. These folders travel back and forth between school and home all year long, helping keep assignments, forms, and important information organized in one consistent place.

The PTA helps make field trips accessible for every student through our Transportation Fund. Each grade receives $500 to help cover bus fees for trips, and the PTA also covers all transportation costs for the 5th grade Starbase field trips. This ensures students can enjoy hands-on learning experiences without families worrying about the cost.

The PTA supports all 5th grade students in participating in Biztown, covering registration and transportation costs. This hands-on program gives students a chance to learn about careers, money management, and civic responsibility in a fun, interactive way.

The PTA offers PEARS Grants, short for Providing Enrichment and Academic Resources for Students, so staff can apply for funding to enhance their classrooms or activities. These grants give the opportunity to bring creative ideas, new resources, and engaging experiences to our students.

The PTA helps make Field Day a fun and memorable experience for every student by providing supplies, equipment, and refreshments. This celebration encourages teamwork, active play, and school spirit while creating lasting memories for students and staff alike.

The PTA support the 1st Grade Bridge Assembly, celebrating students as they pass the Bridge of Biliteracy and reach an important milestone in their bilingual journey. This special event honors students’ hard work, dedication, and language achievements while bringing families and the school community together.

The PTA starts the year by welcoming all staff with a special breakfast in August, then honors them again during Staff Appreciation Week every May. These events celebrate the hard work and dedication of our entire school team and show how much the community values them.

The PTA provides each Specials class, Library, PE, Music, and Art, with a $300 stipend each year. This extra support gives teachers a little flexibility to enhance lessons, purchase special materials, or add fun touches for students.

The PTA supports the school garden, helping provide supplies, tools, and materials that keep it growing. This hands-on space gives students the opportunity to learn about plants, nutrition, and teamwork while enjoying the outdoors.

Each year, the PTA gives a special gift to the school to support students and staff. Past gifts have included new library furniture, a professional laminator, and this year we installed a brand new Gaga Ball Pit! These gifts provide fun, practical, or lasting enhancements that benefit the whole school community.

The PTA sponsors two fun assemblies each year to give students exciting, educational experiences. Our most recent assembly featured the Oregon Reptile Man, bringing hands-on learning and memorable entertainment to the entire school.

The PTA hosts a free Movie Night each year, open to all families and the community. Each year features a different movie, alternating between an English and Spanish showing, so everyone has a chance to enjoy the fun together.
